Share A Layout & A Card

I posted about the Mama Elephant Lunar Animals stamp set way back in February and finally got them in a few weeks ago. Unpacking from a crop, I came across a Chinese New Year layout I had created and decided the dragon would be the perfect addition to the layout.
Not quite sure about it now that it's on my layout but I love how cute he is and so he's staying. I'll keep it out and let it simmer until I figure out if there's anything else I can add to it. Suggestions?
And while I had my supplies out, I decided to make a birthday card for my mom...shhh don't tell her...with the lunar animals. These guys represent the 4 of us, aren't they just too cute???

Weekend wrap-up

CKC Manchester was last weekend...did you attend? I didn't. It slipped my mind completely until I started seeing check-ins and posts. I could have gone up last minute but instead stayed home and spent time with the family. Friday, Jorge and I snuck in a quick dinner just the two of us while one kid was at practice and the other at a sleepover. Saturday, we stayed home and caught up with household stuff and then just hung out in the evening. Sunday was baseball followed by some fun times at Kimball Farms. What did you do?

Remember this post? I played a bit more with Fred and Ginger and came up with this card. I think the eyelashes just make the card, don't you?

Weekend wrap up

Got to spend a wonderful weekend in Portland, Maine with the Cool Crops Crew. I went up Thursday evening and stayed up way too late setting up but it was worth it. Plenty of room to spread out and lots of new products in what you see?
Love hanging with this group of women...obviously many are missing from this photo but love that Cara got this picture for the scrapbooks.

Sneaky Sunday

On a roll designing layout's something that's a little outside my comfort zone. Lots and lots of prints and a cool theme. These pages are perfect for Safari or Zoo pictures, they even work for Animal Kingdom. You get die-cut titles but you could always make your own or use the alpha sticker sheet. This 4 page layout kit will be available later in April and will retail for $17.50.

Cats & Dogs

Lots and lots of pet themed products out on the market now. Take your pick...some are mixed cat and dog, while others are only cats or only dogs. I guess they haven't gotten the message that there are other kinds of pets.
Hound Dog by Adorn the basic browns and pops of blue and red.

Rover & Riley by Bella Blvd...very cutesie and colorful

Meow & Bark by Echo Park Designs...another cutesie and colorful collection

Raining Cats & Dogs by Graphic 45...very typical G45 and hard to find now that it's been discontinued but I love it!
Fur Fusion by Jillibean the graphics and colors!
4x4 Instagram album cat one but this doggie one is CA-UTE!!!

My boys had a Quince~era (Sweet 15th Birthday) to attend so I whipped up some cards for them. Sequins, stickles, bling, some cardstock plus just the right sentiment stamp and they were ready to go.

Weekend Wrap-up

A weekend of celebrating...celebrating a championship for Darin and his Bantam team - and a byproduct, the end of hockey season. Celebrating that this guy has his "Leave It" command 80% down. This pic kills me every single time I look at it...his expression LOL. I don't leave him long, I'm not that mean, but just enough to make sure he does have the self control not to eat the cookies. And I sneak him cookies on the side as a reward for ignoring the ones on his paws ;)
And because a friend posted on FB that she needed adult stickers and totally needed a pick-me-up, I threw these together for her. A little google, a little photo-shop, a circle punch plus my handy dandy sticker maker and I had a fun gift for her.

I Am...

~ watching Criminal Minds Beyond Borders and enjoying this new series
~ listening to a station called Explosions in the the instrumentals playing in the background so I can hear myself think
~ eating too many potato chips
~ drinking lots and lots of iced lemon water to stay hydrated and finding that I am less tired when I do get enough fluids
~ reading After You by Jojo Moyes
~ creating layout kits and in the process of putting together some gift baby's first year albums
~ thinking that there are too many projects I want to get to creating and how I am going to fit it all in
~ loving this selfie I took on Monday...I used the timer setting on my iphone, propped it up on the fire hydrant and walked away.

~ wanting to get out for a walk but it's pouring outside (as I write this on Thursday to stay ahead of blogging).
~ needing to get a newsletter out but totally unmotivated (shocking I know)...sorry...newsletter coming to your inbox soon ;)

I found this card while I was browsing on Pinterest and fell in love with it. I love how playful it is and so simple to put together.
I had just bought a stamp and die set from a new to me company...Your Next Stamp Fred & Ginger stamp and dies. Aren't they just adorable?
When they came in, I couldn't resist and just had to play with them. Some paper scraps, a little copic coloring and some quick measurements and here are the results of my card making session!

Weekend Wrap-up

We had a quiet weekend...starting with breakfast and some shopping with DH who had a Friday off.
Back home this guy was up to mischief all day he's "hiding" because he stole his blanket from his crate and was trying to chew it up. He doesn't chew on it in his crate but outside of it, he does. Go figure!
Saturday we started the day in Chinatown for some dim sum and then headed to IKEA for a little light shopping. Picked up a few things but nothing major, we didn't have to strap any of the boys on the roof...hah! We ended the day at hockey for a playoff game. D and his team won and we are on to the championship game next weekend.
We spent a snowy sunday at home just relaxing and each doing their own thing in the morning. We did gather together for a movie and had to leave the house for CCD in the evening. All in all a great family weekend.

Sneaky Sunday

I came upon these papers by chance...I wasn't looking for camping papers...and couldn't help myself. It was hard to pick just a few lines and one embellishment sheet but I managed. They came in and within 12 hours, I had these 2 layouts put together. If only all layout kits were this easy to put together. These kits will be available in April for $15.

Fave Finds: Spring/Easter

Since I officially have spring fever...I am going to share some of my favorite Spring Finds. I have been bouncing between gardening, spring cleaning and don't mind if I bounce around a little here too.
I need to build one or two or ten of these little homes around my backyard.
Spilled flowers landscaped into my yard would be so much fun too.
And this spring, I will be expanding our little butterfly's so much fun to sit and watch them stop by for a visit.
And in between gardening and landscaping, I'll be spring cleaning! Starting with my Keurig!!!
Then onto our new front-loading washer...I'll start before it smells funky.
And these reusable swiffer duster cloths look easy enough to tackle with my finicky sewing machine.
Spring Cleaning and re-organizing go hand in hand so this list of 31 ways to organize with dollar store stuff will definitely come in handy.
I had to add in something scrappy so here is a list of FREE Spring fonts
Last but not least, some fun things to learn and explore this season...more for little kids but I'm sure I can get my boys to participate in a few on the list.
