Cats & Dogs

Lots and lots of pet themed products out on the market now. Take your pick...some are mixed cat and dog, while others are only cats or only dogs. I guess they haven't gotten the message that there are other kinds of pets.
Hound Dog by Adorn It...love the basic browns and pops of blue and red.

Rover & Riley by Bella Blvd...very cutesie and colorful

Meow & Bark by Echo Park Designs...another cutesie and colorful collection

Raining Cats & Dogs by Graphic 45...very typical G45 and hard to find now that it's been discontinued but I love it!
Fur Fusion by Jillibean Soup...love the graphics and colors!
4x4 Instagram album ...no cat one but this doggie one is CA-UTE!!!

Share A Card

My boys had a Quince~era (Sweet 15th Birthday) to attend so I whipped up some cards for them. Sequins, stickles, bling, some cardstock plus just the right sentiment stamp and they were ready to go.

Weekend Wrap-up

A weekend of celebrating...celebrating a championship for Darin and his Bantam team - and a byproduct, the end of hockey season. Celebrating that this guy has his "Leave It" command 80% down. This pic kills me every single time I look at it...his expression LOL. I don't leave him long, I'm not that mean, but just enough to make sure he does have the self control not to eat the cookies. And I sneak him cookies on the side as a reward for ignoring the ones on his paws ;)

And because a friend posted on FB that she needed adult stickers and totally needed a pick-me-up, I threw these together for her. A little google, a little photo-shop, a circle punch plus my handy dandy sticker maker and I had a fun gift for her.

Share A Card

I found this card while I was browsing on Pinterest and fell in love with it. I love how playful it is and so simple to put together.
I had just bought a stamp and die set from a new to me company...Your Next Stamp Fred & Ginger stamp and dies. Aren't they just adorable?
When they came in, I couldn't resist and just had to play with them. Some paper scraps, a little copic coloring and some quick measurements and here are the results of my card making session!

Weekend Wrap-up

We had a quiet weekend...starting with breakfast and some shopping with DH who had a Friday off.
Back home this guy was up to mischief all day long...here he's "hiding" because he stole his blanket from his crate and was trying to chew it up. He doesn't chew on it in his crate but outside of it, he does. Go figure!
Saturday we started the day in Chinatown for some dim sum and then headed to IKEA for a little light shopping. Picked up a few things but nothing major, we didn't have to strap any of the boys on the roof...hah! We ended the day at hockey for a playoff game. D and his team won and we are on to the championship game next weekend.
We spent a snowy sunday at home just relaxing and each doing their own thing in the morning. We did gather together for a movie and had to leave the house for CCD in the evening. All in all a great family weekend.

Sneaky Sunday

I came upon these papers by chance...I wasn't looking for camping papers...and couldn't help myself. It was hard to pick just a few lines and one embellishment sheet but I managed. They came in and within 12 hours, I had these 2 layouts put together. If only all layout kits were this easy to put together. These kits will be available in April for $15.

Fave Finds: Spring/Easter

Since I officially have spring fever...I am going to share some of my favorite Spring Finds. I have been bouncing between gardening, spring cleaning and Easter...so don't mind if I bounce around a little here too.
I need to build one or two or ten of these little homes around my backyard.
Spilled flowers landscaped into my yard would be so much fun too.
And this spring, I will be expanding our little butterfly garden...it's so much fun to sit and watch them stop by for a visit.
And in between gardening and landscaping, I'll be spring cleaning! Starting with my Keurig!!!
Then onto our new front-loading washer...I'll start before it smells funky.
And these reusable swiffer duster cloths look easy enough to tackle with my finicky sewing machine.
Spring Cleaning and re-organizing go hand in hand so this list of 31 ways to organize with dollar store stuff will definitely come in handy.
I had to add in something scrappy so here is a list of FREE Spring fonts
Last but not least, some fun things to learn and explore this season...more for little kids but I'm sure I can get my boys to participate in a few on the list.

I bought a new stamp set with this cutie and a friend plus the accompanying dies. They are just too cute and I had to make some cards with it. The Hokey Pokey stamp is an SU oldie but perfect for this card. It's super simple and I even pulled out some old old Basic Gray patterned paper for the background. The flamingo is stamped on pink paper, cut out and he was ready to go. Enjoy!

Weekend wrap-up

We spent Easter weekend in Florida with the family...the main purpose of our trip was our nephew's baptism where DH is to be the godfather.

The weather forecasters called for a rain-out for the weekend but we lucked out and had great weather the entire time we were there. We organized a cookout on Saturday and everyone in the family turned out for it...and the unofficial theme for it was cousins!

And of course there had to be a Viejos (old farts) vs Jovenes (young'uns) basketball game. There was even an injury that stopped the game and the oldest of the Viejos had to be called in. Can you spot him? He's the smallest one...LOL!

There was an egg hunt of sorts. When you're on a farm with a chicken coop and laying chickens, you work with what you have!
And to top off the weekend, we celebrated Darin's birthday Hiraldo family style...

I just heard some not so good news about a friend and decided to make a card to hopefully cheer her up. While I was at it, I made a few extras...there are other friends I can mail these to. If you would love to get one of these, let me know and I'll get one out to you. Love getting and mailing out snail mail. A little close up to show the details plus some wink of stella shine :)

Weekend wrap-up

Home for the weekend after 6 weekends away and I had sick feverish kids to deal with. One recovered before the weekend and one slept the entire Saturday away. We did manage to get out for a birthday lunch on Sunday and stayed home the rest of the time.
I decided to steal some time to scrapbook while everyone slept Saturday night and got a two page spread done. Bonus is it's not going to be a class or kit...scrapbooking just to scrapbook! Fun times...now to find more time to scrapbook just to for myself.
Hope you had a great weekend and fingers crossed this winter storm does head out to sea. We're all set with snow and snow days.

Sneaky Sunday

This paper line was a little tough to work with and I finally figured them out and put together a really cute New Years layout kit. I always have a hard time finding the perfect papers for New Year's and these are perfect. Even better if you're not scrapping 2016, you have the option of easily switching up the layout and leaving out the 2016. This kit will be available in April.

Weekend Wrap-up

Another great weekend with the Cool Crops crew in Portsmouth, NH. A great weekend with a great group of scrappers. And the perks of staying in a hotel with a diner, especially the Roundabout Diner on site, is yummy meals and desserts. It didn't help that my partner in crime was around this weekend and we totally indulged!

On another note...I am going to break my 6 weekends away from home streak by backing out of the Scrap-A-Way Warwick weekend. It was a tough decision to make but someone has to stay home to fill the chauffeur and chef role while the other is away for work. My apologies if you were looking forward to shopping at the Time2Scrap booth. If you do have something that you really want, let me know ahead of time and if there are enough requests, I would be happy to make a road trip to deliver goodies on Saturday.

I Am...

listening to an audiobook (Death Canyon by David R. Bertsch) on my drives and walks

reading The Martian 2 pages at a time

binge watching Scorpion with the husband one episode a night

updating my shopping cart daily for gifts and prizes for two crops that are months away

knitting myself a blanket with leftover baby blanket yarn

enjoying the beautiful warm weather we've been having, don't even mind the rain since it's warm out

prepping for back to back weekends

trying to keep up with the house and everything else life is throwing at me while working back to back weekends

looking forward to warmer weather and a slower schedule even though I am having a blast at the crops

loving these two...love watching them together, when they get along, and savoring the moments

Weekend Wrap-up

A wonderful weekend spent with the Cool Crops crew in Portsmouth NH. The Distressed Crazy Birds were a hit here as well and we had a great time in class.
It was a busy weekend, although with a quieter crowd, and the before I knew it, the weekend was over. No worries, I'll be back next weekend and am looking forward to more Roundabout Diner food!

Some of you have asked, what do I do to help with staying at hotels every other (or in this case, every) weekend? Well, staying hydrated is one of my main goals. Next, a mini humidifier helps with the dry hotel air, ear plugs to block out chatter and heater/ac noise and last but not least, airborne to help with the late nights. Hope this answers your question.
