Weekend Wrap-up

I'm pretty sure the vendors were louder than the scrappers on Saturday night at Cool Crops Portsmouth 3. Cool Crops weekends are always awesome but LOLPIMPing into the wee hours plus friends to share amazing desserts with makes for an amazing weekend.

As usual, I taught my 3 classes and the canvas ladies came up with beautiful work. Here they are proudly showing off their art.
There were also some new additions to the store...they're slowly coming in and it's so much fun getting deliveries. Next up are the new stickles colors and Nuvo's jewel drops.
And best of all, my baby turned FIFTEEN and we celebrated when I got home. Not quite sure how the years go by so quickly but I am hanging on for dear life and soaking it all in.

New Echo Park & Simple Stories Mini Kits

Echo Park and Simple Stories have been busy designing and trying to keep up with requests it looks like. Look at all these NEW kits that debuted at the last CHA...they're all finally in stock and at a reasonable price of $6.99. I am most excited about the Echo Park hockey mini theme set.
And for the dance and cheer mom's...Simple Stories has Dance and Cheer simple sets!!!
Let me know if you would like me to set one aside for you. I will be at Portsmouth 2 & 3, Purity Springs, Cool Crops Warwick and Point Sebago.

Month of Love

February = Valentine's Day. I have to admit, I don't have much use for Valentine's Day themed papers in my own stash now that my boys are older and not handing out Valentine's. It's also not a huge celebration at our house. But if you're the opposite and love Valentine's Day, here is a round-up of available Valentine's Day collections.

This Love & Adore line by Simple Stories is my favorite. I like the contrast of teal and yellow in with the light and dark pinks. And it's versatile enough I can use it to scrap date nights, anniversaries and any relationship.
Kaisercraft went with muted pinks and grays. A little moodier but I think could also be used for baby girl pictures or weddings.
Making Valentine's cards and/or projects...this So Loved line by PhotoPlay just screams Valentine's Day!
Another line that went with the yellow and pink contrast...Sweet Nothings by Fancy Pants Design. I think this one may even work for Chinese New year photos...I would use the reds and yellows!
Another Simple Stories line, You & ME, love the sepia toned papers. Maybe we will need to do something on Valentine's Day so I can use these papers!
Crate Paper has a cute line, Heart Day, but is only sold in large pads and individual sheets...a little difficult for me to stock but I like the colors and designs.
Another cute line is Be Mine by Pebbles. Perfect for class party photos or Valentine's Day activities with the littles.
And since I'm titling this post month of love, it would be remiss to not share two new wedding lines. This first one is Wedding Bliss by Echo Park...I like the gold with black and pink.
Second is Reminisce's Wedding Day line which is more photo realistic but pretty awesome.
Let me know if you would like me to have any of these in stock for you.

Weekend Wrap-up

Happy Monday! I caught completely off-guard by the snow flurries this morning. I do have to admit it was pretty out and the snow covered grass made me think of Nemo and ane-me-ne-mo-ne 😊 I had a wonderful weekend the best of ladies at Cool Crops Nashua...Thank You for your support! Always have to get a shot of a sale in progress.
While at Nashua, I discovered The Pressed and totally wishing there was one nearby. It could be dangerous but everything I tried was delicious and healthy. Looking forward to the next time we're in the area or maybe I'll just have to take a drive up just for a meal, or two!
I had some new products delivered this weekend and the one I'm most excited about is the Chibitronics intro pack. Light-up cards here I come. Looking forward to playing with it and thinking my engineering boys will want to play along.
But first, we need to get ready for Chinese New Year. Stay tuned!

NEW Paper House crafting kits

I have to admit I am not a big fan of photo realistic scrapbook paper and a lot of Paper House lines were photo realistic. They had great themes and I have been stocking their kits in the past few months. The NEW release is a mix of photo realistic and patterned paper and I am in love. Great themes too! Check them out and pre-order today!!!

One Big Family, Baby Boy and Baby Girl
Travel lines - Southwest Adventure, Boston, Philadelphia and Washington D.C.
And two beach lines - Florida and Cruise

Winter Wonderland

Rounding up some of the winter collections here and starting with my favorite one, Simple Stories Winter Wonderland collection. Love the contrast of teal blue with coral/orange and the browns. Note to self: Take lots of pictures this winter so I can put this collection to good use.
Another favorite is this I Love Winter line by Echo Park. Looks like they stayed with their blue and red color scheme from their last winter collection. And I have to admit, that penguin is absolutely adorable.
Carta Bella's Snow Fun has similar colors for their winter line although they do look a little more muted and vintage. The snowman is cute and love their skiing, sledding and snowman patterned papers.
This Wintery line by Authentique is not calling my name at all and I will not be stocking it. If you would like this collection, let me know and I'll order one for you.
Photo Play has the most colorful winter line and named it Snowball Fight. Love the colors but not a line I would use with my boys.

Frosted by Kaisercraft is another beautiful subtle line of creams and blues.
Love the name of the Reminisce winter line...Winter is Coming...can you tell I'm a Game of Thrones fan?! These papers would be fun to play with too.
Bo Bunny went in a different direction with their winter line incorporating, creams, grays and pink. Very pretty but not something I would use.
Last but not least, I have to talk about this new product by Nuvo. It's called Glimmer Paste, moonstone, and when applied looks just like snow on cards, layouts and mixed media projects. Jars are $8 each and goes a long way. The paste is easy to handle and dries quickly. I like using it with a stencil on layouts and just laying it on with a spatula on mixed media projects.

'Tis the Season

Lots and lots of classic and modern twists on Christmas papers and embellishments this season. This Christmas Classic collection is my favorite of all the new releases. I guess I am an tradionalist at heart...the classic colors get me everytime.
Reminisce's collection, Christmas Eve, is a new take on the holidays with more snow traditional colors. I will have to scrap some of our X'mas eve traditions and I have just the right studio (old school way back when) photos of the boys that I have yet to scrap...these papers will be perfect for them.
Pinkfresh is a new company and I am reserving judgement on this collection until I get it in my hands. Embellishments are super cute though.
Luke 2 by Photo Play is an amazing collection with just a dash of faith based references thrown in. Love the colors too...nicely done!
These two collections are a twist on traditional Xmas colors and the pink just doesn't work for me and my boy heavy home. Otherwise, they are super cute especially Bella Blvd's Holly Jolly collection.
Love the Retro Christmas line by Authentique...just perfectly retro.
Authentique's Classic Christmas line is another one that I could see myself using. Maybe this one for a Christmas album?
Bo Bunny has two collections out and neither are speaking to me :(
Kaisercraft as has three different lines out and, here is the collector in me talking, I would love to have all of them. Even Christmas Wishes...just because it is just beautiful!
Graphic 45...saving the best for last...didn't disappoint and has this amazing line. Just love!
Good Luck picking just one or two lines this year! As always if you see one you have to have, email me and I'll make sure I have a kit set aside for you.
