Weekend Wrapup

What beautiful weather we had this past weekend! We worked in the yard all Saturday morning and then decided that we needed a little fun so we packed it in and headed to our favorite state park. We took the canoe and got some fishing in. I caught a teeny tiny fish and D decided to use it as bait. I kept telling him he wouldn't catch anything...and within 20 seconds of casting he yelled that he had a BIG FISH. Ummm...yeah he did indeed catch a big fish. I went to grab (he fell off the hook) him so we could take pictures and realized he had TEETH when he bit me. DH and J were out on the canoe while D and I stayed on shore. Needless to say I will be double checking fishes before I pick them out!
On Sunday, we went over to a friend's house for a pig roast. The boys (big, small and tiny) had a blast playing football and soccer while the ladies cheered them on. What is it with adult men that turns them into little kids the minute a ball comes out? LOL...DH getting ready to tackle D in this pic!

And best of all, getting a picture of my nephew and hanging out with my friend's baby...both sporting onesies I made for them :) Well my nephew isn't 'cos the hunk-a-chunk doesn't fit in the 3-6mth onesie 😳
Have a wonderful Monday!!!

Weekend Wrap-up

First event of 2015 done and it was a good time, as always, thanks to the Cool Crops Crew! Nashua was a great location and I got to make some new friends and visit with some ahem old friends. Love that it's work and yet not work. There was plenty of space to spread out and I like how my store has evolved. I would love to hear feedback if you have any...there is always room for improvement.
While I was away at Cool Crops, hubby and my younger boy were at a hockey tournament in New York. Some of you had to listen to this new hockey mom talk hockey, thanks for listening. Sunday morning's championship game was a real nail biter, 1 minute left of the game...the score was 4-3 us...and we had 2 players in the penalty box...my guy was out there playing defense...and they won!

If you're keeping score, my older boy stayed home for his own sports schedule. We hired him a driver and they hung out together, pretty cool. He also stayed home as our designated puppy sitter. What a great kid! I even got puppy updates...check it out
Mom...he thinks it's his personal puppy bed!

How was your weekend?

Weekend Wrap-up

The boys had 2 days off from baseball and with Arthur heading up the coast, we decided last minute to head west to Rochester NY. Jorge has cousins out there and they were having their 2nd annual family softball game...ages 2 and up. If you can't run, the young'uns will run for you, can't field...not a problem. It was my first time playing softball and it was a blast.

The day ended with fireworks by the river...we actually had front row seats (almost) and it was walking distance from an aunt's house.

Saturday, we headed over to the bowling alley for some bumper cars, laser tag and other shenanigans. It's always so amazing the boys and their cousin pick up from where they left off even if it's been years since they've seen each other.
11, 13, 13, 12 :)
Sunday was spent working in the yard...them cleaning up and me planting more veggies and flowers. How was your holiday weekend?

Weekend wrapup

First Monday of summer vacation and I'm wide awake at 5am. The house is quiet and will be for a while yet. It was a busy weekend especially for my boys. Jori had 3 baseball games on Saturday and a call about making the 13 year old All Star team for his Babe Ruth League. Darin has an all star game (12's) on Saturday plus a pool party in the afternoon. Sunday was practice for Darin and team family cookout at the field after. It was so nice to meet hang out with the other parents and watch the team and siblings play just for fun.
Sunday morning we decided to step away from the field and took ourselves to our favorite state park for a run and some fishing. The boys "hooked" me up so I got to catch a couple too. We'll have to do this more often...and hopefully getting out of the house is faster and smoother with more practice ;)
